Returning to the Bay, I worked my way up in the restaurant industry, eventually stepping into management. It was there that I learned the art of leadership, adaptability, and fast decision-making—skills that, ironically, would become invaluable when I pivoted into tech. My first tech job was as an Account Manager at Cater2.me, a role that introduced me to the dynamic, high-energy world of startups. It also introduced me to my now wife, Annelise—a life-changing career move in more ways than one.

After years in Customer Success roles across the Bay Area’s tech scene, we traded the city skyline for the mountains of Colorado. It was in Denver that I took another leap: earning my Master’s in Digital Product Design from CU Boulder’s CMCI program. Design had always been a part of my creative DNA, but here, I honed my craft—learning how to bridge strategy, research, and user experience into seamless, intuitive digital products.

Beyond design, my passions shape my everyday life. Travel fuels my curiosity—I’ve been to 17 countries and counting, from the vineyards of France to the street markets of Colombia, and I’m always dreaming of the next stop (Japan? New Zealand? Costa Rica? All of the above?). Music is in my bones—I picked up the bass guitar at 13, jamming in punk, ska, and reggae bands throughout high school and college. I’ve recorded two albums on bass (North Town Dub & The Small Axe Ensemble) and even produced a hip-hop album, Claymation, in 2020. Check out my other music on my Maximus Decibel Soundcloud page.

When I’m not designing or making music, you’ll find me in the kitchen. Cooking is my creative outlet, and I love nothing more than crafting homemade meals. My wife’s favorites? Chicken piccata, breakfast burritos, and fresh homemade fettuccine.

I also love disc golf, regular golf, hiking, and exploring nature—especially with our four-year-old English Labrador, Dolly, leading the way.

Life has taken me down many different paths, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I bring that same adaptability, passion, and creativity into everything I do—whether it’s crafting a digital product, composing a song, or cooking up something new.
